A. Pre-Draft
Period
B. Free
Agency Period
C. Preseason
Period
D. Regular
Season
E. Postseason
A. Pre-Draft
period: This period will start February 1, 2007, at 12:01 AM and end
April 14, 2007, at 8 PM. Trading may occur during this period of either
players, or 2007 draft picks.
C. Regular
Season
1.
The Regular Season will commence Friday,
August 24, 2007, which is the beginning of Week 1. A week in the Regular
Season will start Saturday and will end 11:59 PM the following Thursday.
Therefore, Week 1 will end 11:59 PM, August 29, 2007. Week 2 will start
Saturday, August 31, 2007 and end 11:59 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2007,
etc. The Regular season will officially end 11:59 PM Thursday, December
13, 2007.
2.
A coach MUST play his game during that week in
the period described above. Games may NOT be played EARLIER or LATER
without approval from the LC. If a coach, for any reason, believes he
will not be able to play his assigned game in a given week, he MUST contact
BOTH the LC and the opposing coach, and describe the situation. Then, the
game will either be rescheduled, or (more likely) the computer will take his
place for that week.
3.
Once a regular season game is completed, one
of the two coaches will need to export the game file, and send it to both the
LC and Webmaster as an attachment in an email.
4.
NOTE ON TRADES: a player MUST be
acquired, via trade, by 11:59 PM the THURSDAY prior to start of Week X, in
order to be available for the week X game! Trading may take place at any
time during the week, but THURSDAY 11:59 pm is the deadline in order for the
trade and players to be active for the following week!
5.
The day of Friday, at the end of an LHFA week,
will be used to finalize trades, update and post the season files, and for
website maintenance.
6. Bye weeks: The midseason bye weeks count as a week in the season. Therefore, if a player is injured for one full game, and that player’s team is on a bye the following week, the player will be considered as injured for the bye. He would therefore be available to return the week after the bye.
D. Postseason
1. The Postseason will start Saturday, December 15, 2007, with the wildcard games. During the Postseason, there will be no subdivision into weeks.
2. Five teams will advance to the Postseason: the winner of each division, and the top 2 remaining non-division winners.
3. The 5th-seeded team will play at the home stadium of the 4th-seeded team, during the wildcard round. The winner of this game will then play at the home stadium of the #1 seed. The #3 seed will play at the home stadium of the #2 seed.
4. The Regular Season statistics will carry over, and players on IR will remain on IR. However, players who are hurt but NOT on IR will be “healed” and made healthy to play (here, the LC exercises a power he used as a former DM!)
5. There will be a postseason tournament for the TOP 4 NON-PLAYOFF TEAMS. The winner of this tournament will receive the top selection in next year's Team Selection process.
